Medical Administrative Assistant

Full Time • Permanent • Cardston, AB

Salary:

$29 per hour


Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Completion of a one- or two-year college program or other specialized courses for secretaries or medical secretaries is required.
  • Language at work location is English and Spanish — Fluent Spanish is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm medical appointments, teleconferences, and receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients.
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review.
  • Obtain and process information, interview patients in order to complete forms, documents, and case histories required to provide customer service.
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms.
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records.
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas.
  • Provide basic information to clients.
  • Operate telephone system, answer telephone, and relay telephone calls and messages.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe, and distribute minutes.
  • Send invoices, receive and issue payments, prepare financial statements, and calculate billing charges.
  • Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures and routines such as document tracking, filing, and monthly reporting.
  • May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software.
  • Maintain work records and logs.
  • File, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Provide directory assistance.

About the Role

VP Health is seeking a dedicated Chiropractor to join our team in Lethbridge and help us continue building a centre of excellence for integrative health.

  • Provide comprehensive chiropractic assessments, adjustments, and rehabilitation plans to support patients with back pain, neck pain, joint dysfunction, movement limitations, and chronic musculoskeletal concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, naturopathic doctors, pelvic-floor therapists, acupuncturists, and other team members to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
  • Engage in active case management — consider movement, lifestyle, posture, ergonomics, and wellness goals alongside manual therapies.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately: educate patients about their conditions, empower them with home programs, and help them transition from symptom relief to long-term function and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DCh) or equivalent licensure in Alberta, in good standing.
  • Experience assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal issues.

We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative Registered Massage Therapist to join our growing team in Lethbridge. You’ll play an essential role in our integrative approach to musculoskeletal care and holistic health.

  • Provide therapeutic massage treatments that support pain relief, mobility, relaxation, and overall body function.
  • Collaborate closely with our physiotherapists, naturopathic doctors, pelvic-floor therapists, acupuncturists, and other team members to support coordinated care plans.
  • Assess and adapt treatment techniques based on each patient’s needs — from deep tissue and myofascial release to relaxation and prenatal massage.
  • Educate patients on home care, posture, stretching, and lifestyle practices that enhance long-term results.
  • Contribute to the clinic’s supportive, patient-centred culture through teamwork, communication, and shared goals.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Massage Therapy (minimum 2200 hours) from a recognized institution.
  • Registered and in good standing with an Alberta regulatory body (MTAA, NHPC, RMTA, or equivalent).
